British Shorthair

The British Shorthair is a domestic cat breed. It is classified as a shorthair in the FIFe and WCF classifications. It was developed in the 19th century.

According to one theory, it is a descendant of the Chartreux breed, while another theory attributes it to Roman cats and local relatives.
